Project Thirst Naught

Project Head: Daniel Castillo

Project Thirst Naught is an effort to provide clean drinking water, one bucket at a time, to displaced families hard hit by Tropical Storm Sendong in the Philippines. Six volunteers (four students/two alumni) from the University of Texas at El Paso's Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) student chapter will deliver water filtration systems to families in Cagayan de Oro. From March 9th-17th, 2018 the volunteers will install the systems and provide education on how to operate and maintain the filters in households where there is limited or no access to potable municipal water.
